Welcome to DateWize. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the DateWize application ("the App"), operated by ConnectIT Technologies ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

1. Eligibility

To use DateWize, you must:

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be located within the BYU-Idaho area (approximately 35 miles of campus). The App uses location verification to confirm eligibility.
• Be legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

If you do not meet these requirements, you are not permitted to use the App.

2. Your Account

When you create a DateWize account, you agree to the following:

• You will provide accurate and truthful information on your profile.
• You will maintain only one account per person. Creating multiple accounts is not allowed.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You will not share your account credentials or allow others to access your account.
• You will keep your account information up to date.

3. Acceptable Use

DateWize is a community built on respect and honesty. When using the App, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or bully any other user.
• Send spam, unsolicited promotions, or repetitive messages.
• Create fake profiles or impersonate another person.
• Post or share illegal, obscene, or harmful content.
• Use the App for any commercial purpose without our written permission.
• Attempt to access another user's account or private information.
• Use automated systems, bots, or scripts to interact with the App.
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's functionality or infrastructure.
• Violate any applicable local, state, or federal law.

4. Content You Post

You retain ownership of the content you post on DateWize, including photos, bio text, prompt answers, and messages. By posting content on the App, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the App.

You represent that you have the right to post any content you share and that your content does not violate the rights of any third party. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines.

5. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or permanently ban your account at any time if we determine, in our sole discretion, that you have violated these Terms. This includes but is not limited to:

• Engaging in harassment or abusive behavior toward other users.
• Creating fake or misleading profiles.
• Posting prohibited content.
• Receiving multiple reports from other users.
• Any other conduct we deem harmful to the DateWize community.

You may also delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon account deletion, your profile data, photos, and messages will be removed within 30 days.

6. Disclaimer

DateWize is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the App's reliability, availability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.

We do not conduct background checks on users and cannot verify the accuracy of information provided by other users. You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users and should exercise caution when meeting anyone in person.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ConnectIT Technologies and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App. This includes, without limitation, damages for loss of data, personal injury, or emotional distress resulting from interactions with other users.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid to us, if any, during the twelve months preceding the claim.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
